DRM Focus Days
ABOUT THE EVENT
This event brought together beneficiaries and stakeholders from Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries, counterparts from the European Union (EU), the Organization for African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), and development partners, as well as from GFDRR/World Bank. The objectives were to (i) discuss the overall outcomes and results of the ACP-EU Natural Disaster Risk Reduction (NDRR) Program; (ii) share operational experiences across the three regions; and (iii) share main lessons learned from the implementation of its 150+ projects. Additionally, the event took stock of the progress made by four African Regional Economic Communities (ECCAS, ECOWAS, IGAD and SADC) in strengthening their coordination capacity and advancing their respective regional DRM agendas. More information about the Program can be found in English here and in French.
